SECTION 2
Dear members of the Vernon BC Stake,
Twice each year, as directed by the President of the Quorum of the
Twelve Apostles, we gather for Stake Conference. This is a treasured
opportunity to meet together and be “nurtured by the good word of
God”. On this 50th Anniversary of the Vernon Stake, we extend a
special invitation to attend our Sunday session in person at the Stake
Center (on Nov 9 11am-1pm) to share faith, music, and prayer – and
then stay after the session to share pie and ice-cream.
The Stake Conference will take place at the Vernon Stake Center.
Members are invited to participate in each meeting at either the stake
center or at home through streaming media via Zoom or YouTube. Links
for streaming at home will be available on the days of the conference
Sessions will include:
Stake Leadership Training from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Saturday, November 8
for Stake Council, Bishoprics/Branch Presidencies with secretaries and clerks,
Stake and Ward Organization Presidencies with their secretaries,
ward mission leaders, and temple and family history leaders.
Saturday Evening Adult Session from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm on Saturday, November 8
for everyone 18 years of age and older.
Sunday General Session from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Sunday, November 9
for everyone. NOTE: This is 1 hour later than our usual time.
Apple Pie and Ice Cream will be served after the general session on
Sunday for those attending at the Stake Center - to celebrate our rich 50 years history
of fund-raising and sharing in the Okanagan.
Please consider inviting others and assisting them to attend these
sessions of conference. We look forward to meeting with you and
sharing this time together.
Sincerely,
The Stake Presidency
Shayne Olsen, Paul England, and Brett Poulin
