Making the Scriptures Real for our Children
The commandment the Lord gave to Adam also applies to us: “Teach it unto your children, that all men, everywhere, must repent, or they can in nowise inherit the kingdom of God” ( Moses 6:57 ). The Lord continued in similar words, “I give unto you a commandment, to teach these things freely unto your children” ( Moses 6:58 ). As adults who care about children, we want to help them learn to love the scriptures. One way we can do this is to make the scriptures feel real to them.

Monday- Day 9: Peace Be unto You
Easter is the beginning of a new life in Christ. After His Resurrection, Jesus continued to minister and teach. He appeared to His disciples in Jerusalem (see John 20 ) and later visited people in the Americas (see 3 Nephi 11 ). Jesus brought peace, taught His gospel, and invited all to come unto Him. His ministry continues even now through living prophets, scripture, and personal revelation. We can be disciples of Jesus Christ as we follow His example and share His message o

Easter Sunday- Day 8: He is Risen
On the third day, the tomb was empty. Jesus Christ rose from the dead, completing His Atonement and breaking the bonds of sin and death. He was resurrected, meaning His spirit body was reunited with His physical body after death and He became immortal. His Resurrection means that we too will live again and be resurrected. We can find joy and hope in Him every day. What does Christ’s Resurrection mean for your future, your family, and your daily life? Watch or listen to genera

Saturday- Day 7: I Am the Light
After Jesus’s body was placed in the tomb, His disciples waited. Even though Christ had told them that He would rise again, they were confused, heartbroken, and uncertain about what would come next. There are times when we may feel like we are waiting in darkness. But even in our own moments of uncertainty, we can have confidence that God will fulfill His promises. In what part of your life do you feel like you are waiting—perhaps without clear answers or hope? How can trusti

Good Friday- Day 6: Forgive Them
Think of someone who has hurt or offended you. What can you do to begin to forgive them? How does knowing that Christ was willing to die for everyone help you see that person differently? Read some scriptures about forgiveness today. You can use the Gospel Library app to search for scriptures by topic, or you could search online for scriptures about forgiveness. https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/welcome/easter/day-6-good-friday?lang=eng

Thursday- Day 5: In Remembrance of Me
During the Passover, the people remembered how they had been saved by the blood of the lamb, sacrificed for them. On the night of the Passover, Jesus gathered His disciples for the Last Supper. He gave them bread and wine as sacred symbols of His body and blood, which would be sacrificed for them. He taught them to always remember Him. He then went to the Garden of Gethsemane, where He began His suffering for our sins. https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/welcome/easter/day-5-
