The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints now has more full-time missionaries serving than at any other time in its history. Approximately 88,500 full-time missionaries are serving worldwide, surpassing the previous high of just over 88,000 in 2014. This historic missionary force comprises young teaching and service missionaries and senior missionaries. Before 200 youth arrived in Kamloops, British Columbia, for five days of activities, friendship and spiritual learning, young adult counsellors were already preparing for an opportunity to serve. Throughout the week, these counsellors became mentors, friends and examples of discipleship as they helped youth strengthen their faith in Jesus Christ. Brothers and Sisters, We are all now very aware of the wildfire devastation within our Stake, both from immediate exposure and from smoke. We are just now entering the potentially most high-risk time of the year for wildfires. One lighting storm, and we could have multiple fires popping up around the Stake.
