Vernon Stake Relief Society Spring Social Concert
Saturday, May 29, 2027 | 1:00–2:30 p.m.
We are putting together a beautiful afternoon Spring Concert as part of our Relief Society Spring Social, and we would love to hear from the musical women in our stake!
We are looking for soloists, duets, small groups and ensembles—and all kinds of musical talent are welcome!
Instrumentalists: Piano • Guitar • Violin • Cello • Flute • Trumpet • Woodwinds • Brass • Strings • and more!
Vocalists: Solo singers • Duets • Vocal groups • Choirs • Harmonies • Throat singers • and other creative forms of vocal music.
You don't have to be a professional! Beginning, intermediate and advanced performers are all welcome to submit. We are simply looking for performers who are well-practiced, comfortable performing in front of others, and excited to share their musical gift.
A Few Guidelines:
• Performances should be approximately 3 minutes long.
• Pieces may be sacred or secular. There is no hard-and-fast rule that everything must be religious, but this is a concert centered on Christ, and we hope the music will bring a feeling of love, unity, joy and connection among the sisters.
• Performers should be prepared to practice with the concert coordinator beforehand so that we can work through accompaniment, timing, transitions and any other details.
• Because we have a limited concert time and want to create a varied and beautiful program, not every submission will necessarily be included this time. Please don't take this as a reflection of your talent! This compilation of music might fit better in another concert. We hope this will become something we can continue at future stake events, giving us more opportunities to share the many musical gifts within our stake.
To Submit:
Please send Lindsay Stehmeier a short video of your proposed performance at: lindsay.stehmeier@gmail.com
Along with your video, please include:
• What you would like to perform
• Whether you will be performing as a soloist, duet, group, etc.
• The instrument(s) or type of vocal performance
• The level you feel best describes your performance: beginning, intermediate or advanced
We can't wait to see—and hear—the wonderful musical talent in our stake!
Come share your gift and help us create an afternoon that celebrates Christ, music and each other.
Thank you so much and I can't tell you what a great opportunity this could be to share with our friends and create a greater unity within our stake.
Love,
Paulette Deyholos- Stake Relief Society President
