Relief Society Art Social coming in the Spring!
Subject: Calling All Artists, Poets, Makers & Dreamers!
Dear Sisters,
Mark your calendars because something wonderfully creative is happening in the Vernon Stake!
On May 28 & 29, 2027, we are bringing together the women of our stake for a Relief Society Spring Social filled with art, creativity, music, laughter and a whole lot of fun!
And here’s the best part…
We want YOUR art! and your stories however you create them!
Whether you are 8 or 108, a professional artist or someone who hasn’t picked up a paintbrush since elementary school, there is a place for you in our (and your) Art Show!
Friday evening will be our High Society Art Show, featuring artwork and creative treasures made by the women and girls of the Vernon Stake.
So start thinking…
What have you painted?
What have you recorded and put on our video tron?
What have knitted or sewn?
What have you made out of clay?
Are you a gardener? How can you show us that?
What have you written?
What have you photographed?
What have you created just because you love to make things?
We will even have a space for art you have collected?
If you made it, we want to see it!
And don't worry about whether it's “good enough.” This isn't about competition or perfection. It's about celebrating the creativity, talents and unique gifts of the women and girls in our stake.
And then the fun continues Saturday!
Saturday morning will be filled with creative workshops where you can try something new or learn more about something you already love. Think poetry, pottery, writing, art, movement in video and other creative adventures!
Then, on Saturday afternoon, we'll gather together for a beautiful Spring Concert—a chance to sit back, listen, enjoy and celebrate together.
So this is your two-fold invitation:
FIRST: Make something!Start creating now and save something special to share in our High Society Art Show.
SECOND: Come join us! Bring your sisters, daughters, mothers, grandmothers and friends and spend the weekend celebrating the wonderful women of the Vernon Stake.
You don't have to consider yourself an artist. You just have to be willing to create.
We can't wait to see what you make!
