Christmas in our Stake- Calders

When our children were younger, we wanted them to be more aware of those in need at Christmas. We told each child that one of their Christmas presents would be a cash donation from us that they would give to a charity of their choosing.

During Christmas dinner, they were to let us know which charity they had selected. We were surprised at the amount of research they did and the number of charities they now knew existed. We hoped this experience would give our children not only a desire to contribute to charities in the future, but also a desire to volunteer in the community to our many brothers and sisters in need.
