We want to take a moment to recognize and sincerely thank Ruth Yates of the Vernon First Ward for her extraordinary dedication and ongoing service to Sleep in Heavenly Peace—a non-profit organization that provides beds to children and youth ages 3 to 17 who are currently without a bed of their own.
Ruth, along with her caring friends in Vernon and Arizona, have lovingly created and donated beautiful bedding to accompany the beds built and delivered to these children. Her creativity, generosity, and attention to detail bring warmth and comfort to every child who receives them.
Through the support of the Vernon Elders quorum working with Sleep in Heavenly Peace, we’ve been able to help fund and construct beds for these deserving youth, but it’s individuals like Ruth who truly make this effort personal and heartfelt. Her example of quiet service and sincere compassion reminds us of the profound impact one person can have in the lives of others.
Thank you, Ruth. Your time, talents, and compassion have brought not only comfort but dignity and hope to these young lives. Thank you for making a meaningful difference—one bed at a time.
